Little Wild Horse Canyon is a great place to get a feel for slot canyon hiking. It is easy enough for children and exciting enough for adults.
Update 10/20/2000: I have been back to Little Wild Horse Canyon with a group of Boy Scouts in September. Fall is a great time to visit the canyon. I have added a few new pictures to this section.
Access: From Salt Lake City take I-15 south to Spanish Fork. At Spanish Fork Take highway 6 east to Price. From Price continue on highway 6 to Green River, UT. At Green River take I-70 West and exit highway 24 South to Hanksville UT. Turn off highway 24 to Goblin Valley State Park. Directly before the entrance to the state park turn west on a dirt road. This road will lead you to a small parking site (about 3 miles from the head of road) marked with signs. The trip from Salt Lake takes about four hours.
